One of Goose Creek’s large planned communities, Crowfield Plantation offers some of the area’s top homes on 2,800 acres of a former plantation that traces its history to Colonial times.
Many of the traditional homes here feature brick or brick front exteriors and are available in a variety of sizes and prices. Younger schoolchildren attend several highly regarded Berkeley County Schools with all of the community’s teens attending Stratford High.
With thousands of single-family homes available along with a number of townhomes, the 27 neighborhoods of Crowfield offer multiple tennis courts, 4 swimming pools, a clubhouse, 16 miles of trails for walking and jogging, storage spaces for boats and RVs and more.
At the heart of the community is a beautiful 78-acre Lake Crowfield, that offers fishing and non-motorized boating. A baseball field and other recreational facilities are also nearby.
For the golfer, the community’s 18-hole golf course offers not only some of the area’s most affordable golf course homes but the highly rated 7,000-yard course itself. A 72-par Bob Spence designed course, it opened for play in 1990.
Membership in the Crowfield Golf and Country Club, in the exclusive Hamlets neighborhood, is also an available option. The community is known for active homeowners and civic organizations and a number of community events are held each year.
