A well-established neighborhood with mature trees and landscaping, most of Parrot Bluff’s homes were built in the late 1990s and early 2000s. Located at the intersection of Harborview and Fort Johnson roads, homes here range from 2,000 to 3,500 square feet in size and offer 3-5 bedroom floor plans with prices from the $300s to the $800s. Prices for a few homes with deep water access can exceed $1 million.
A small neighborhood with only three streets, it has no amenities of its own but is very close to the Fort Johnson Estates Civic Club, which offers an outdoor pool and other recreational facilities. City of Charleston tennis courts are also located close by. And two miles distant is the James Island Recreation Center with batting cages, softball fields, baseball fields, an outdoor pool, exercise areas, basketball courts and more.
Ten minutes from downtown Charleston and 15 minutes to Folly Beach, the neighborhood is also convenient to a number of public boat ramps in the area. Some homes that back up to Parrot Creek also have their own private docks. Children attend the highly regarded James Island school district with Stiles Point Elementary School, James Island Middle School and James Island Charter High School all being within four miles of the community.
