As prestigious an address as can be found on James Island, the Country Club neighborhood is a well-established community of homes next to the Country Club of Charleston. Next door to the Country Club is a beautiful, post-Civil War cotton plantation that now houses an architecture college.
Within minutes of major retail centers and a variety of shops, restaurants, and services, the neighborhood is just three miles from the Medical University of South Carolina and five miles from The Battery on the tip of the Charleston peninsula. Folly Beach is nine miles south.
Several major retail centers are nearby for shopping, dining and professional services. And, of course, the many entertainment options of downtown Charleston are just a short drive away as well.
