Daniel Island’s second neighborhood to be developed, Etiwan Park offers a variety of homes from the $300s to the $500s. With a pleasant mix of Southern style homes, the neighborhood also has a seven-acre park at its center.
Maintained by the City of Charleston, the park offers basketball and volleyball courts, athletic fields, an enormous playground, an amphitheater and more. In addition to the park, Downtown Daniel Island is within easy walking distance. The island’s commercial center, it offers a mix of residences, shops, restaurants, professional services and entertainment options. The neighborhood is also within walking distance of Bishop England High School.
Honored as one of the best-planned communities in the nation, Daniel Island affords its residents a lifestyle found in few, if any, other places. With hundreds of its 4,000-acres used to create parks, the island offers a number of swimming pools and is home to two championship golf courses. The island is also home to the Family Circle Tennis Center, which features 17 clay, grass and hard-surface courts and a 10,000-seat stadium.
A second stadium on the island, the 5,000-seat Blackbaud Stadium, is home base for The Battery, Charleston’s professional soccer team. And since it is bordered by the Cooper and Wando rivers, the island is a boater’s paradise, offering all types of water sports.
