One of Daniel Island’s newest neighborhoods, Smythe Park offers a variety of luxury homes and townhomes. Townhomes start in the 200's, with detached single-family homes priced from the $600s to $2.5 million or more. Some deep-water lots with docks directly on the Wando River are still available as well.
Centered around a 24-acre park that bears its name, the neighborhood offers upscale antebellum and Colonial style Lowcountry homes of 2,000 to 5,000 square feet. Built by high-end custom builders, homes feature a variety of upscale upgrades standard, including landscaped lots and gourmet kitchens. Some of the neighborhood’s priciest homes are those on the Wando River as well as those fronting the park and its 11-acre lake.
The neighborhood is within walking distance of both the new elementary and middle schools, the public library and the Pierce Park Pool. Its own park plays host to a variety of concerts and events during the summer months. Also nearby, Downtown Daniel Island is the mixed-use commercial center of the island and offers restaurants, shops, residences and professional services.
The island is also home to two of the region’s top golf courses and the Family Circle Tennis Center, which has 17 courts and a 10,000-seat tournament stadium. Charleston’s professional soccer team, The Battery, also make Daniel Island their home base.
